Mingara Regional Athletics Centre is the premier track facility on the Central Coast. This is because the facility features a world-class synthetic athletics track and field with a national standard playing field.
Are you planning on visiting the Centre for a school athletics carnival, sporting event, athletics meet, expo or event?
It is the best place to run on the Central Coast. So if you’re visiting soon, check out our quick guide to everything you need to know for a great day out (including our best spots for coffee).

The best way to start the day

Athletics carnivals often means early starts, which definitely means coffee is required. Don’t panic, The Wellness Café near Mingara Aquatics is open early with barista made coffee, quick and healthy breakfasts to go, protein balls as snacks for the day, fresh juices, smoothies and even wraps (perfect for lunches on the go). The coffee is made with love by skilled baristas to help you caffeine your way through your athletics day. It won’t be your only delicious coffee that day either – the kiosk at the centre has the same great coffee and skilled baristas to keep your coffee habit happy. You can find delicious hot chocolate and T2 teas as well.

Don’t get flustered finding a park

Parking is simple. Enter the Mingara Recreation Club carpark and the closest row to the centre is Row F. Therefore, parking in Row F allows for the easiest access. There is plenty of parking.

Where do I enter?

You enter through the gates at the southern end of the centre through the marked gates. Some events may require different entry but it will be well sign-posted.

What’s there?

As you enter you will walk directly past the kiosk. As you’ll see, It stocks all of your usual sports ground kiosk must haves – an assortment of snacks, chips, lollies, pies, sausage rolls, drinks and importantly barista made coffee. It’s made with The Roasted Berry blend coffee, so you know it’s great.
If you are looking for something more substantial, it’s just a short walk back to the Mingara Recreation Club. This is where The Roasted Berry serves up all day breakfast on house-baked bread, burgers, salads and daily specials.
Men’s, ladies’ and wheelchair-friendly change rooms are located near the kiosk.

Seating and shading

Construction commenced in April 2017 on an upgrade to the existing facility to add an outdoor seating and shading facility on the western side of the track. As a result, any changes to the track will be clearly sign-posted. Click here for the full construction timeline.

Who can use the track?

The Mingara Regional Athletics Centre is the home of the Central Coast Academy of Sport, Tuggerah Lakes Little Athletics Club and Mingara Athletics Club. This helps to make the centre popular for School athletics carnivals and is available for bookings seven days a week from 7am to 9pm. Make a booking enquiry here.
