Join us for Mingara’s Relay For Life, a powerful 24-hour community fundraising event supporting Cancer Council’s vital work in cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support services. Bringing together friends, families, workplaces, schools and community groups – Relay For Life is an opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors, support those currently facing cancer, honour and remember loved ones, as well as help to create a future free from cancer. Taking place from 10am Saturday 17 October to 10am Sunday 18 October at the Mingara Regional Athletics Track, teams of participants raise funds in the lead up to the event before taking turns walking around the track throughout the day and night. The continuous relay serves as a powerful reminder that cancer never rests, so neither do we.

The event features a full 24 hours of community spirit, connection and entertainment, including the Opening Ceremony, Survivors & Carers Morning Tea, and the moving Remembrance Candlelight Ceremony. Participants and supporters can also enjoy live entertainment, fundraising stalls, kids’ activities, an overnight camp experience – and plenty of fun for the whole family. Every dollar raised helps Cancer Council continue funding life-saving research, delivering support services to those impacted by cancer, and working to reduce the impact of cancer on Australian communities. Whether you form a team, join an existing one, volunteer your time or come along to show your support, you’ll be helping make a meaningful difference.
