Rhonda and Lorraine run Central Coast Kids in Need and are two of the most generous and caring ladies you can ever meet. Most families with very sick children have to travel to Sydney or Newcastle for long-term care, leaving at least one parent unable to work as they stay with their child in the hospital. Central Coast Kids in Need takes that massive financial burden away during these tough times by helping to pay for medications, equipment, travel and accommodation costs. In the past 18 years, Central Coast Kids in Need have assisted 3573 local families and paid out in excess of $4.13 million dollars.
Mingara proudly supports Central Coast Kids in Need though our ClubGRANTS program, and as beneficiaries of 2022 Christmas Under The Stars event with a donation of $10,572.15. This will allow a family to stay 160 nights at Ronald McDonald House, or will pay for two and a half months worth of pharmacy accounts through their Born to Live program.
