Meet Tori

Our Events Coordinator Tori is a superstar. Tori not only assists with organising and booking events but she helps run the floor at our events too. When Tori is booking an event for you, you can be certain she can see the full picture of how your event will run from start to finish, including all the finer details. She always has your guests experience as her priority – making sure each event runs smoothly and brilliantly.

Tell us about your career journey at Mingara

I started in 2019 in the events front of house team helping set the room for a range of events, and assisting with food service. I then ventured into our Bar, Wellness Café and Welcome Desk before becoming the Event Coordinator. Working in multiple areas within the Club has allowed me to create great relationships with our Members and my fellow teammates.

Your favourite thing about working in events

My favourite part of working in events is making the client’s function a memorable experience. I particularly love hosting milestone life events such as weddings, engagement parties and birthday parties (especially 90th birthdays, they are so much fun!).

The favourite event you have worked on

I love all my events but one of my favourite events to date would be Surf Life Saving Central Coast Awards of Excellence. It was one of our larger events with over 400 guests in attendance. Everything came together perfectly and it was a really enjoyable night where the entire team was having a great time hosting our guests.

What exciting things are happening in events these days?

I am so excited for the annual Bonsai Open, hosted by Central Coast Bonsai coming up in March. This is an event we book annually, and it is always fun meeting people from all over Australia who are very passionate about growing bonsai.

Some common errors people make when booking events.

A common error may be not ordering enough catering for the amount of guests. When booking an event with us, we can always recommend a range of catering options to keep your guests tummies full and happy! :)

How would someone describe you?

I think people would describe me as a bubbly, friendly person who enjoys a challenge and is willing to go above and beyond to help others.

What do you do when you aren’t working?

Outside of work, I love to bake sugar cookies as my side hobby. I am super passionate about this as I think finer details like this really help to elevate an event, and make it more memorable for your guests. Check them out on Instagram at Rolling Cookie Co.
