Mingara – Proud to Support Local Communities Through ClubGRANTS Funding

Mingara Recreation Club has continued its commitment to strengthening the Central Coast community, contributing $190,000 through the 2026 ClubGRANTS program to support local charities, community groups and essential services.

The funding was formally acknowledged at the Central Coast ClubGRANTS presentation held at Gosford RSL Club recently, bringing together local Central Coast clubs and community organisations to celebrate the positive impact of locally-driven funding across the region.

Across the Central Coast region, the combined total of ClubGRANTS funding presented this year was more than $1.5 million, demonstrating the collective contribution 29 local clubs continue to make to community organisations, services and initiatives that support people across the region.

This year, Mingara’s contribution will support 15 organisations delivering programs that improve health and wellbeing, strengthen families, support people living with disability, assist vulnerable community members and create opportunities for young people to thrive. Recipients include organisations such as Cancer Council NSW, Central Coast Family Support Services, Camp Breakaway, Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Clontarf Foundation, The Bikers Hand, The Top Blokes Foundation, We Care Connect and Wamberal Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade.

Mingara Leisure Group CEO Grant Gladman said the ClubGRANTS program is a powerful example of how community clubs help create stronger, more connected communities. “Mingara has always believed in making a significant contribution to the quality of community life. Through ClubGRANTS, we’re proud to support local organisations that are improving lives and helping our community thrive.”

“Every day, we see local organisations making a real difference in people’s lives. They’re supporting families through challenging times, helping young people build brighter futures, providing vital health services and creating opportunities for people to connect and belong. We’re proud to partner with them and help extend their impact”, said Mr Gladman.

ClubGRANTS is a New South Wales Government-supported initiative that enables registered clubs to reinvest a portion of their revenue into community services, programs and projects. Since its inception, the program has delivered millions of dollars to local organisations and has become one of the most significant sources of community funding across the state.

Having worked closely with the Central Coast community for more than a decade, Sarah Ferman, General Manager of Mingara, understands the real and lasting impact ClubGRANTS funding can have. She said the program reflects Mingara’s ongoing commitment to supporting the people, organisations and places that make the Central Coast such a generous and caring community and acknowledged the vital role volunteers play in bringing this contribution to life. Ms Ferman said it is this spirit of local people giving their time, skills and care that enables many community organisations to deliver meaningful support where it is needed most.

“That generosity of spirit is what turns funding into real community impact,” Ms Ferman said. “Volunteers are often the people on the ground, giving their time and care to make sure support reaches the people who need it most.”

Among the projects supported by Mingara this year are initiatives focused on cancer support, family welfare, disability services, youth mentoring, emergency preparedness, palliative care, food relief and mental health and wellbeing. Together, these programs will benefit thousands of people across the region. Mingara is proud to stand alongside the many clubs and community organisations that continue to invest in the future of the Central Coast.

“Local support creates local impact,” Ms Ferman said.

“When community organisations, volunteers, clubs and supporters work together, we can achieve lasting outcomes that make our region stronger, more resilient and more connected.”
