What a wonderful way to spend a morning. Mingara Members and visitors shared in a celebratory morning tea to congratulate Commonwealth Games gold medal winner, Matt Dawson. A player in the Australian men’s hockey team. the Kookaburras who were successful in beating New Zealand to secure gold at the Commonwealth Games.
Matt is part of the extended Mingara family, his mum Trish has worked with Mingara for many years. It was a special morning to share with our Members.
Matt was extremely generous with his time, smiling for many pictures, signing autographs and sharing his gold medal experience. The medal is heavier than you think!
